§ 2-18. Sick leave.
(a)
Employees with less than three (3) years' service shall be entitled to one (1) day sick leave per month.
(b)
Employees with three (3) years' service or more shall be entitled to one and one-half (1½) days sick leave per month.
(c)
Employees who at any time are absent from work must produce a doctor's or dentist's certificate in order to qualify for sick leave:
(1)
To show the necessity of confinement on the account of sickness.
(2)
To show the time of medical or dental appointment.
(3)
To show the name of immediate family member in the event the absence from work is due to family illness.
(d)
Section 2-18(c) is hereby amended, as follows: Employees shall be exempt from producing a doctor's or dentist's certificate for two (2) of the employee's designated sick leave days per calendar year.
