Ward road crews shall be entitled to the following holidays each year: January first,
New Year's Day; the third Monday in February, Washington's Birthday; Good Friday;
the last Monday in May, National Memorial Day; June twenty-seventh, Audrey Memorial
Day; July fourth, Independence Day; the first Monday in September, Labor Day; November
first, All Saints' Day; November eleventh, Veterans' Day; the fourth Thursday in November,
Thanksgiving Day; December twenty-fifth, Christmas Day; provided, however, that in
every case where one of the above-listed holidays falls on a Saturday, the Friday
before shall be taken as a holiday, and in every case where the holiday falls on a
Sunday, the Monday after shall be taken as a holiday. The above applies only to full-time
road crew employees.
